Dubai Canal Project – Dubai Creek Linked with Arabian Gulf

In an attempt to give fresh boost to the tourism and economy, Dubai recently launched its Dubai Canal Project costing AED 3.7 billion. The mega project took almost three years of construction work to complete. Dubai canal project is basically an extension of Dubai creek which has been now linked with Arabian Gulf.

On the occasion of Dubai Canal Project launching, Dubai’s Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Makhtoum said “Every achievement and success that we celebrate motivates us to move ahead with confidence, determination and optimism. We are challenging ourselves to generate the best ideas and initiatives.”

“Our progressive way of thinking, ambition and positive energy will bring happiness to the people and prosperity to the nation,” Dubai’s ruler added.

The newly inaugurated project aka Dubai Canal Project is a step forward for Dubai to boost its tourism and bring more people to the emirates for traveling and business. According to officials, this project will play a vital role in the growth of Dubai as a leading hub for bringing more social development to the UAE.

There is a complete 12km waterfront to Dubai Water Canal Project also. This waterfront stretch will include tourist facilities, residential units, a yacht club and separate space for entertainment and commercial outlets.

“The waterway will add a unique tourist showpiece to the city,” said the emirate’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Chairman, Matar al-Tayer. “It will have a positive effect in which it contributes in enhancing water quality up to 33%. The region is also expected to attract more than 30 million visitors per year,” Tayer added.

“The canal will increase international competency of Dubai and will reinforce real estate and lands’ value in neighboring regions,” according to RTA Chairman. He continued that the waterway will also provide an additional opportunity to activate sea transportation in the service of commercial, residential and tourist activities in the district.

Without any doubt, Dubai Canal Project is a big feet for Dubai and it surely has increased the beauty of city.
